Lunenburg Lunch and Learn is a one hour get together featuring a local or provincial speaker. The theme of Lunenburg Lunch and Learn is focused on learning more about our community, our businesses and industry and those who are “movers” within our community.
The monthly sessions are from 12 - 1 pm, the objective being to attract people on their lunch hour to join us for an hour to eat, socialize, listen, question and get back to work (or retirement) by 1:30 p.m. Lunenburg Lunch and Learn meets at noon on the second Thursday of each month from October through May at St. John’s Parish Hall, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Please bring your own lunch.
Admission is $5 per session, payable at the door. If you are interested in subscribing to Lunenburg Lunch and Learn, please send us an email and you will be added to our membership database. Invitation emails are sent out 10 days prior to each event. The emails contain a link which enables members to reserve their places. The deadline for signing up is 24 hours prior to the Thursday lunch.

Our first event of this season will be held on Thursday, October 8, featuring a fascinating presentation by Syd Dumaresq on his journey through the legendary Northwest Passage. From Greenland glaciers and Inuit communities to Franklin’s lost expedition, Arctic sovereignty, climate change, polar bears, and the history of exploration, this talk brings one of the worlds most remote regions to life through stories, photos, and firsthand experiences.
